Formats and processing
Choose the SlideShare Download You Need
Resolve public slide images, preview them, and build your file in the browser.
Paste the exact public URL and pick SD or HD. Quality depends on what SlideShare exposes.
PDF keeps slides as pages. PowerPoint builds an image-based .pptx, not the editable source. ZIP holds one JPG per slide.

FAQ
Questions About SlideShare Downloads
Answers about exact public URLs, SD and HD, PDF, image-based PowerPoint files, JPG archives, browser generation, troubleshooting, and responsible use.
Is SlideShare Downloader free, and do I need to sign in?
It is free to use and does not ask for a SlideShare account. Paste the exact URL of a public presentation; private, deleted, restricted, or sign-in-only presentations cannot be processed.
Which SlideShare links are supported?
Use the full URL of an individual public presentation on slideshare.net, such as https://www.slideshare.net/username/presentation-name. Profile, search, category, and activity pages do not identify one presentation.
What is the difference between SD and HD?
SD uses the standard slide images returned for the presentation. HD requests the larger available slide images. HD can improve readability when SlideShare exposes larger files, but the downloader does not invent detail or upscale a source image.
Can I download a SlideShare presentation as PDF?
Yes. After the public presentation is resolved, choose PDF and SD or HD. Your browser fetches the selected slide images and assembles them into one PDF locally.
Does the PowerPoint download contain editable text?
No. The generated .pptx places each resolved slide image on a PowerPoint slide in the original order. It does not reconstruct editable text, charts, animations, speaker notes, fonts, or the presenter's original source file.
What is included in the ZIP download?
The ZIP contains ordered JPG files, one for each resolved slide. It is useful when you need individual slide images instead of a combined document.
Where are PDF, PowerPoint, and ZIP files created?
The resolver and image proxy are API-backed, but the selected aggregate file is generated in your browser from the resolved slide images. The API does not directly create the PDF, .pptx, or ZIP.
Why could my presentation not be processed?
Check that the URL opens one public presentation without signing in. The presentation may be restricted, removed, malformed, or temporarily unavailable, or SlideShare may be rate-limiting requests. Confirm the exact URL and try again later.
May I reuse the downloaded slides?
Public access is not permission to copy or republish a presentation. Download and reuse slides only when you own the material, have the creator's permission, or otherwise have the necessary rights. Respect copyright and SlideShare's terms.
