Terms of use

Use the service only for public presentations, respect creator rights and access controls, and understand the limits of image-based browser generation.

What the service provides

SlideShare Downloader is an independent, unaffiliated utility. It accepts a public SlideShare presentation URL and sends it to an AWS Lambda-backed API. The API fetches the public presentation HTML and extracts available slide image URLs. Your browser then fetches selected images through the API proxy and locally generates an image-based PDF, an image-based PowerPoint (.pptx), or a ZIP of ordered JPG slides.

The service does not request SlideShare credentials and does not provide the author's original editable presentation. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by SlideShare or its owners.

Acceptable use

By using the service, you agree not to:

  • attempt to access private, restricted, removed, credential-protected, or otherwise non-public presentations;
  • submit credentials, cookies, access tokens, or other private authentication data;
  • automate lookups in bulk, circumvent rate limits, overload the API, or use the image proxy for unrelated traffic;
  • misrepresent an image-based PDF or .pptx as the creator's editable source file;
  • download, republish, present, sell, modify, or distribute content without the rights or permission required for that use;
  • use the service for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive activity.

Requests are rate limited. Access may be slowed or blocked when activity threatens availability, security, or these terms.

Your responsibility for rights

Presentation content remains the property of its creator or other rights holders. Public availability does not place a work in the public domain, transfer copyright, grant a license, or authorize redistribution. You are responsible for evaluating permissions, licenses, attribution requirements, SlideShare's rules, and the laws that apply to your intended use.

If you hold rights in a work and want to report a specific public presentation, use the contact page and include the exact URL plus a concise explanation of your relationship to the work.

Output and technical limitations

PDF and PowerPoint outputs contain flattened slide images. They do not recreate selectable text, charts, notes, animations, links, embedded media, themes, fonts, or editable source objects. The PowerPoint output uses .pptx, not legacy .ppt.

Results depend on the public HTML and slide images available at the time of the request, as well as network access, API capacity, browser support, memory, and storage. SD and HD labels describe available source image choices; the service does not manufacture missing detail.

No guarantee

The service is provided as available and without a guarantee that any presentation will resolve, every slide will be found, any image will have a particular quality, or local generation will finish on every device. SlideShare pages and delivery behavior can change without notice.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses arising from service unavailability, incomplete or inaccurate output, browser or device limitations, downstream use of generated files, or a user's failure to obtain required rights.

Privacy and changes

The privacy policy describes lookup requests, proxied images, local generation, rate limiting, and correspondence. These terms may be revised as the service changes. Continued use after a revision means you accept the then-current terms.
