About SlideShare Downloader

An independent browser tool for creating permitted offline copies from slide images exposed by public SlideShare presentations.

What the service does

SlideShare Downloader accepts the URL of one public SlideShare presentation and helps you save its ordered slide images as an image-based PDF, an image-based PowerPoint (.pptx), or a ZIP of separate JPG slides.

The PDF and PowerPoint outputs are visual copies. They do not recover the presenter's original editable text, charts, notes, fonts, animations, links, media, or source layout objects.

How a request works

  1. You submit the exact URL of a public SlideShare presentation.
  2. The URL is sent to an AWS Lambda-backed API, which fetches the public presentation HTML and extracts the slide image URLs it can find.
  3. Your browser shows the returned slide information and fetches selected images through the API proxy.
  4. Your browser locally assembles the aggregate PDF, .pptx, or ZIP and hands it to the browser's download system.

The service does not request or use SlideShare credentials. Lookups are rate limited to protect availability. Source page changes, restrictions, removal, image quality, network conditions, and browser memory can all affect the result.

Public access is the boundary

The resolver is intended for presentations that are publicly reachable. It does not bypass sign-in requirements, privacy controls, permissions, or other access restrictions, and it cannot restore material that SlideShare no longer exposes.

SlideShare Downloader is an independent utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by SlideShare or its owners. SlideShare and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Public visibility does not transfer copyright or grant permission to republish, sell, present, modify, or remove attribution from someone else's work. You are responsible for confirming the rights, license, permission, platform rules, and laws that apply to your use.
